

Optimizing methane emissions reduction technologies
The University of Calgary (UCalgary) is a public research university located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is composed of 14 faculties and over 85 research institutes and centres.
UCalgary is responsible for the NGIF ETC Program's lab operations. The lab, located in the Gates Research Group at the University, is a flexible applied research lab capable of rapid set-up, execution, post-processing, and analysis of experiments to test methane emissions reduction technologies.
The lab uses advanced modeling techniques to improve methane emissions testing and optimization. It uses computational fluid dynamics, machine learning, and predictive modeling to refine testing methodologies and improve real-world applicability.
By leveraging cutting-edge modeling approaches, the lab supports cleantech innovators in optimizing their solutions for greater accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
